The Friendly Falcons and Their Friend the Snake is an artist collective composed of Jeffrey Kurosaki and Tara Pelletier, formed in 2006. Jeffrey was born in Kaneohe, Hawaii where he attended the University of Hawaii, receiving a BFA in Ceramics and a BA in French. Tara grew up in Coventry, Connecticut and received her BFA in Fiber from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore. They both earned an MFA in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art, where they met and started their work together.
The Friendly Falcons exhibitions include: ABC No Rio, New York; Governor's Island, New York; Artjail, New York; RPSC Gallery, Oakland, California; Wayne State University, Detroit; and Forum Gallery, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. They were recipients of the Toby Devon Lewis Award in 2007.
